Plug and Play Blue Screen

I have just received my Vaio laptop back from Sony with a new HDD, ran the recovery CD to reinstall windows and all pre-installed apps.
All went fine, have since installed NIS and GoBack, MSN Messenger, my printer and webcam.

Went to plug in my external HDD and I get a blue screen and all I manage to see is a comment regarding plug and play. I cannot pause to get more info.

I thought about removing the USB root hub and letting windows reinstall it, but was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Go to Start, Control Panel, System, Advanced Tab, Startup & Recovery at the bottom and click Settings, then untick “Automatically restart”. This will allow you to read the message before having to turn off and reboot.

Great thanks BurrWalnut. I will give that a go.
