Please help me find a driver

  [email protected]® 15:18 20 Feb 2005

I have a Acer Travelmate 230 but the usbs don't work. When I go into device manager there is a yellow triangle with a '!' which says Universal Serial Bus(USB) controller. So i believe I need the drivers but can't find them anywhere. Please help! Thanks.

Have you tried click here the one marked chipset.exe since theres no usb driver listed I assume its part of one of the other drivers

Also have a look at this from the Acer website. My unit was manufactured with a USB port, how do I enable USB?
By default, some Acer notebooks have the USB port disabled. This port was diabled to conserve resources for users with no USB peripherals. To enable USB on these notebooks, you will need to enable the device in the BIOS settings.

I have loaded the chipset.exe and that hasn't worked and also looked in the bios and it says legacy usb support 'enabled' would that be it?

Yes that would be it, what operating system are you using Win 98, XP? I would think that the laptop just uses a standard Windows USB driver. Post back with whatever operating system you use.
