I am using Vista Premium on a new computer. When i try and burn pictures on to dvd using Windows Photo Gallery or Media Centre, i get an error message telling me that i dont have a dvd burner drive?? Ive checked it in properties and it says its working ok. I've never burnt onto dvd before and i'm kinda fumbling through using Windows painful help system. ive tried formatting the DVD-R discs but that didnt make a blind bit of difference. Any help would be much appreciated.

You might have more success with a dedicated burning program such as Nero.

Or have you tried updating your DVD drives firmware, from the makers web-site.

Burn a CD or DVD in Windows Media Center.

Click on 'To create a DVD slide Show with music'

p.s. Don't Format a DVD-R, No need to do that, Just stick a New Blank DVD-R into DVD-RW Drive and follow instructions in the Click Here Above.

Or use Windows DVD Maker click here

Launching Windows DVD Maker click here
