Hi guys, I recently wanna play need for speed most wanted 2005 in my pc which is obviously a very old game... We just wish to play with our friends with its lan multiplayer feature. I heard that playing a old game in a new graphic card may spoil its resolution and can make the graphic card unstable. So I need to confirm here whether playing any old games in new graphic card is advisable or not..

My Specs: HP Pavillion 15 AU084TX Intel I5 6200U 2.5GHz to 2.7GHz 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE 940MX 8GB RAM DDR4

Please help me n give a good solution friends.. Thank you :)

It would only be dangerous if the game forces resolutions and refresh rates that are outside the cards specs. I have never seen that happen, but I don't play games; I just repair broken machines.

I have never heard of this before, and have played a lot of older (the oldest being 2003) games on graphics card the same age as yours so I'm pretty sure you'll be safe playing the game.
