Playing film from PC HDD

I regularly record TV on Panasonic DMR-E20 to DVD-RAM or DVD-R. This is transferred to PC HDD and when I have seen enough it is erased.

Normally if I select properties from DVD drive the prog gives 3 icons - two very small and one large. Normally I double click and it works perfectly.

I am looking at PC screen at the moment (DVD_VIDEO_RECORDER) and I see DVD_RTAV. Doubleclicking on this only shows the two small files VR_MANGR 637 bytes and VR_MANGR 637 bytes. Going up I see DVD_RTAV again 1.24kb. There is no VR_MOVIE.

Up from here Properties of DVD_VIDEO_RECORDER show 4.26 GB used 0 free space.

Can anyone tell me what is going on please?

Many thanks in advance.

If I get properties

The VR_Movie file has NOT been burnt to the DVD, however the DVD is "finalised" aloowing it to be played in any playr and therefore shows full.
