Playing DVD'S through Windows Media Player

  noshoes 14:39 27 Dec 2008

can someone please help me. My daughter has purchased an MP4 player on EBAY, putting music onto the MP4 player was simple through the Windows Media Player but we have been desperately trying to put a film onto the MP4 player without success. The windows media player has sound when you play a DVD but no pictures.
What do we need to do to get the DVD images?

I would have thought that you would have to convert it to the appropriate format,im sure someone will help.Have you enough room on the player with music and movies?

From Tools (in WMP)>Options>File Types, ensure that all File Types are Enabled and OK'd.

Try downloading the Full K-Lite Codecs Package from:

You may also wish to use the Windows Media Classic Player:

(IIRC this is included on the Full or Mega K-Lite Codecs Pack).
