I receive PowerPoint Slide Show attachments by email but have not been able to play them. I've downloaded PP 2003. How can I set it up so that when I click on a PP attachment it just plays instead of telling me that the file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. It tells me to create an association in he Folder Options control panel. I don't know what this means. Can anyone give me an explanation in beginner's English?
I seem to recall that if u rt click the document/ppt and go to 'open with', click ppt (if u have it installed), and then check the box to set as default 'Always use this program to open this type of file'. That should do it.
