Play PC video clips on TV DVD player

I've downloaded a number of video clips and copied them onto CD which play perfectly well on my PC but are not recognised at all on my TV CD/DVD player. I get the message "No audio data. No image data". How can I overcome this?

This is a mine field!

Firstly, what format are the videos in and secondly what version of windows are you running with at the moment?

You will find better to go the dvd route if you can and DVD Flick is free and will burn most formats to dvd click here

what prog are u using to burn the CD/DVDs, & what format are the vid clips? Just for example, if ur recording in Xvid, & ur TV CD/DVD player doesn't accept that format, then they won't run.
They may well run on ur PC bcos u have the appropriate software installed.
