PIF document wont open.?

hi anyone any idea how i can open a PIF format document pls.? ive had a email sent to me but its in that format & when i open it i get a load of jargon that makes no sense..?

As this says you shouldn't open a .pif file when sent as an attachment, as it can be used to send a virus.

I would ask the sender to send it in a different format.

that a .pif file is a "programme information file".

It's used to indicate to a programme certain parameters on opening up... eg Internet Explorer when opening a "normal", (as opposed to a maximised), window, uses info in it's .pif file to know what size, and where on the screen it should open.

I suspect that you've been sent the wrong file. Ican't see what use you'd have for one, unless it's something to do with PC technology and setups!
