Does anyone know anything about this?Ad-aware removes it - registry entries, files and program folder. The trouble is, next reboot it is back.I've looked in MSCONFIG and cannot see anything obvious. If at all possible I want to avoid a System Restore because of the volume of stuff that I've installed over the past few days.Windows XP Home Edition SP1.
Try HijackThis - click hereits an O16 - DPF - Downloaded program File. Thing is they have started to occur in pairs so if the main part of the Spyware is deleted the second file replaces it.
Also SpyBot click here has just had UCSearch.ArmBender added this week to its hit list...
Sorry that should be target detection improved...
Tried Hijack this - removed Armbender. Rebooted - back again!Running Spybot.Something is clearly deeply embedded...When I finally get this sorted there will be an inquisition - i.e. torture the other members of my family. Thanks Jester2K II
Delete the %temp% folderclick here Check the registry entires. Adware & spybot may actually remove what you find but you never know...
Hi VoG. Knowing you, you probably have, but just in case! Have you turned off "system restore" before attacking this pest. Regards. j.
I would have thought the first place to start would been the Registry under find. and then clear the rest from Explorer. Try all the file names it uses. Writev them down first
Tried Spybot - same problem. Turned off SR - still problem.Off to knacker my registry.
Can you use Autoruns - click here - to list all your startups...
