Performance booster software

  astra46 19:06 16 Nov 2003

I recently read an ad about software that improves your pcs performance, prevents crashes etc.

Do these work, if so which one os worth buying?

Don't believe a word of it. Only things likely to speed up your PC and make it more stable is:

1. Remove stuff you don't need

2. Install more memory (cheaper than RAM boosters)

3. Reformat the drive, and do a fresh install of just what you use.

4. Overclock the processor

5. Buy a new one.

If you wish to try out these type of programmes, look at some of the free download sites. And try something from there first. Don't waste your money, on something that looks impressive on a box.

click here Intel application accelerator (Supported Chipsets only)

click here RAS accelerator (W95 & 98 only)

Will you see any difference? Probably not, but you won't have wasted any mony either.
