perfectnav redirection help

  kestrel3 00:39 18 May 2004

It seems every time I try to go to a web page - today it was argos Direct - I keep getting re directed to something called 'Perfectnav' & it says the (whatever web page I'm trying to get) is not available??

Surely they all can't be unavailable?? I'm worried now that something more sinister may be causing it?

Any ideas?

do you use kazaa? click here

also try kazaabegone click here

and also consider downloading running both adaware and spybot and remove anything they find also click here click here

update and run your antivirus also as a futher precaution.

Yes I use Kazaa, well my daughter does! Could that be causing the problem?

I've run Spybot & my Panda Titanium system scan?

yes that is whats causing the problem.its full of spyware.not recommended.

get rid of it manually following instructions from my first link or automatically using kazaabegone then reset your home page again in tools/internet options/general/home page.

You can download a Kazaa Spyware Remover from click here but I agree that it's probably best to get rid of Kazaa altogether.

If you do use KazaaBegone, download WinsockFix from click here
FIRST. Run it if you have problems connecting to the internet after running KazaaBegone.
