Percentages crop up every day in our lives but given two numbers how do we work out what the percentage of change is? some people know the answer to this but for those of you who don't the following will help.
Open a new Excel Workbook, in column A1 type New,in B1 Type Old, in C1 Type %change, A1 and B1 Format Cells to Number, in C1 format the cell to Percentage. In A1 type 75.00, In B1 type 100.00 in C1 Type the the following =(A1-B1)/ B1 and the answer is -25% this formula can be used in lot's of ways shopping lists price indexes etc I hope this Helps.
