could any please answer a question for me is there any real difference betwwen these processors and if so what thanks for any help

It's mainly the on board cache. This is memory that is actually part of the processor and therefore, runs at full processor speed.

The Celeron has a smaller cache and therefore, by comparison, it's performance suffers.
