PDF Files will not open on internet

Hi, When I try to open (& save) a PDF file from the internet, a new window opens but it is blank. I have Foxit Reader installed & it opens any PDF files already saved on the computer fine. I have uninstalled & reinstalled Foxit Reader but this did not solve the problem. Any ideas? Schmollies

what browser are you using?

sounds like you need a plug in to open the PDFs

I am using Chrome; where might I get the plug in from?

According to Google click here PDFs in Chrome

On your computer, open Chrome.

At the top-right, click More More and then Settings.

At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.

Under 'Privacy', click Content settings.

Under 'PDF Documents', untick the box next to 'Open PDF files in the default PDF viewer application'.

Chrome will now open PDFs automatically when you click them.

Beeuuem, Thanks for your reply; under PDF documents I had to "Tick" the box to open pdf files (not untick as you mentioned) & this now works. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure who is more surprised that the solution was so simple - you or me !

Glad that it is now working, these things can be very annoying.
