PDF Files

With my old computer I was able to download PDF files, now with this new one and Windows XP, although they download,it's gibberish and I am supposed to download to disc. Is there anyway around this? Whilst I'm here.....I have the Real Player logo flashing on the desktop....how do I get rid of it.?

Many thanks for your help,

It's also on PCA disc every month as well, if you don't want to download it.

Thanks all. Adobe downloaded and problem solved. Um.........Real Player???????? I don't want Real Player so I won't click on....but the flashing is a major irritation.

If you don't want realplayer, rightclick on the icon and click delete. That SHOULD get rid of it but knowing how persistent it can be, it may not!!

Thanks Brian...I tried that but it wouldn't do it...then I found the magic words 'cancel from source'....or something like that. Hey presto......it disappeared until the next time that is...!
