When you open you PC,depending what motherboard you have they are easy to spot, there's normally 3 to 4 of them side by side.Check your manual as well.

If you find the make and model number of your motherboard (usually in your computer hand book/flash start up screen/BIOS, or load system information~ start>programs>accessories>system tools>system information) you can go to the manufacturers web site and look for the specification to see if you have PCI Express or AGP or both. System information or the BIOS pages may also tell you

vaughan007 has asked how does he know if he has PCI EXPRESS and not PCI slots

vaughan007 if you give us your make and model MOBO we will be able to tell you. How old is the computer?

Everest will ID the mobo if you are unsure and may well tell you about PCI Express slots if it has been updated.
