on my old win95b pc iam running short of hard disc room need to add another h/d
my pc bios is not upgradable so need to use software or pci card
can anyone help as how to obtain eiter of the above to enable a llarger 2nd h/drive

Your way behind and should look to upgrade. Apart from that, W95 is FAT16 which only supports partition sizes of 2GB or less, you will struggle to find one (new) that small these days. There is nothing to stop buying a bigger HDD, but you will have to break it down to 2GB partitions.

To attach to your computer you could set it as a slave from the main HDD, using the IDE cable and setting the jumpers appropriately, assuming you have all the paperwork for your motherboard, BIOS and drives, otherwise this is all going to be a chore...

Patching up an old machine to try and modernise it seldom works satisfactorily and you usually end up spending loads of cash for a very inferior result.

Much better to consider getting a more up to date computer. It may even work out cheaper to do this in the end.
