is pc advisor site slow to open, mine is taking an age, recently installed IE8 anybody else having a problem, other sites seem ok

Give this a try from a command prompt,
Type ipconfig /flushdns
This will flush the DNS cache
Then type,
net stop dnscache
followed by,
net start dnscache

PCA was taking about 5 secs to load and the same when clicking another subject. This was about 5 mins ago,working o.k. now.

On Firefox.

The home page would appear then vanish leaving a blank page before I could navigate to the forum link. I had to use the back key several times befor I could catch the link. This has happened for the last couple of days.

apologies for posting back so late, I reverted to IE7 proble still existed,but found that the dns client in services was disabled, have now enabled it and pc seems ok, now have to decide IE7 orIE8,
