Pc wont boot after putting it back together

Today I was cleaning my brothers pc and had to get some in and out. After putting it back together the pc wont boot anymore. It does not recognize (or power) any other usb devices and also wont give me any display. (it might be noting that the hdd and fans are getting power)

Ive dubble checked every cable now and didnt find anyhting there. System speaker doesnt do anything either. psu has a 4pin connector and MB has a 8pin input, looked up the manual and it says to connect it to the 1st and 5th pin on the motherboard (of which I assume are the lowest ones closest to the motherboard).

the system has was a prebuild and had some problems shutting down on heavier loads.

Have read the manual already (like i said before). Couldnt find a reason why it isnt booting.

edit: *(of which I assume are the lowest ones closest to the cpu).

Go back to basics.

Just connect up the absolute minimum to boot the computer.

No hard drive or CD drives, one stick of RAM, no expansion cards and just the monitor connected. Does the machine have on board graphics or use a graphics card?

If it boots. Add a hard drive and one at a time.
