PC Specification

I have ordered a PC off the Internet from a lesser known company. How can I check that what is specified is actually in the machine I get? I am particularly worried about overclocked processors.

for Aida32 which will ID most things.
Open the machine and have a look at the components and you will get a fair idea of what is there.

Thanks Diodorus. I am concerned that by opening the machine as you suggest would invalidate my warranty?

It should not invalidate the warranty... but who knows - some manufacturers put this clause in for some reason or other. Check their terms and conditions first.

Often there will be a sticker on the machine to say that the warranty will be void if you break the sticker. I don't think that this is fair though, because PCs are meant to be configurable.
