PC says its 1.25Ghz when its 1.67Ghz

I have an Athlon XP 2000 processor which runs at 1.67Ghz. My PC only says it has 1.25Ghz. How come and how do I change it?

Sounds like your FSB has reverted to 100 when it should be set in the Bios as 133[Consult your mobo manual how to do this]

Or multiplier set wrongly?

The multiplier is correct, it is the FSB that is wrong
100 FSB x 12.5 multiplier = 1.25
133 FSB x 12.5 multiplier = 1.67
As the above thread says consult your mobo manual to change the FSB to 133.
