Yesterday i installed 'Tropico', while that was installing an error came up and i clicked restart. Upon boot-up after the second BIOS screen a paragraph came up (with a beep sound from the tower): ONE OR MORE OF YOUR DISK DRIVES MAY HAVE DEVELOPED BAD SECTORS PRESS ANY KEY TO SCANDISK
So i went to scandisk and another error message comes up before even scanning: SCANDISK CANNOT READ FROM THE LAST CLUSTER ON DRIVE C. THIS CLUSTER IS EITHER DAMAGED OR YOUR SYSTEM IS NOT CONFGIURED PROPERLY. DRIVE C MAY NEED TO HAVE LBA ENABLEDTO WORK PROPERLY, OR ITS DISK PARTITION MAY BE INCORRECTLY MARKED AS A NON-LBA PARTITION. DATA LOSS CAN OCCUR IF YOUR LBA SETTING OR DISK PARTITION TYPE FOR THIS DRIVE IS MISCONFIGURED.
If I clicked Continue it would normally scandisk...
If I clicked Stop however, it would continue without scandisking and come up with this new error: THERE WAS AN ERROR RUNNING SCANDISK.EXE, OR IT WAS CANCELLED. RUN SCANDISK FOR WINDOWS, AS YOU MAY STILL HAVE ERRORS ON YOUR DISK(S).
I clicked continue and i get another error: SECTOR NOT FOUND READING DRVIE C ABORT, RETRY, IGNORE, FAIL?
Fail & Abort = Shut Down Retry = Shows that error again... Ignore = PC Hangs, loads soemthing, goes to desktop and another error comes up: SYSTEM ERROR WINDOWS CANNOT READ FROM DRIVE C: IF THIS IS A NETWORK DRIVE, MAKE SURE THE NETWORK IS WORKING. IF IT IS A LOCAL DRIVE, CHECK THE DISK.
