PC not booting correctly

  celticrachel01 08:18 26 Nov 2005

When I boot up my Pc(Windows XP)it is only booting up to what I have set as my backdrop. There are no icons on my desktop.I've also tried my wifes login and it too only boots to her backdrop. All my desktop functions can be accessed via Ctrl,Alt,Del but this is a bit tiresome.

Tried your suggestions but none worked. When the
computer boots to my backdrop screen the cursor
can be moved around the screen as normal but doesn`t do anything when the left or right mouse
keys are pressed. The computer doesn`t take as long to boot either because it doesn`t appear to be launching my desktop items.
