pc making clicking noises

my desktop pc has recently been making clicking noises & sounds like it is trying to switch off or restart.is this a hard disc problem or worse???can anyone help??

can you take off ur side panel and determine if this noise is from the HDD?

I had this a while ago and it was the HDD in my particular case, which had to be replaced. I'd get stalling, lock-ups, and eventually regular clicking like a metronome, or indicators on a car.

If it's only just started, I suggest u make a back up *asap*.

It could be Hard Drive. Try this, double click on "My Computer" right click on C:\properties\tools\check disc. Put a tick in box to auto fix faults then shut down after pressing OK and restart for it to run

not sure how old ur system is, but my HDD was replaced by the supplier - Mesh, under the pc warranty.
