PC Crash Help

  Ridleyrider 08:51 22 Mar 2006

I went out last night and left my computer on. When I got back, it had crashed and I had a blue screen with the error message

I restarted the computer but Windows will not load. I get the error message

0X0000007B (0XF89CD528, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000

Can anyone help with this?

If running xp, keep pressing f8 as the computer starts and choose 'last known good configuration'

It defaults to the F8 screen when I restart it. I've tried last known configuration that and it doesnt work.

Have you tried to start in 'safe mode' then restore to an earlier time.

  Ridleyrider 12:45 22 Mar 2006

No. I'll try that. I still think it is something sinister.

  Ridleyrider 13:18 22 Mar 2006

That may help. Thanks.

However, if I cant get into my PC, I dont know how I can resolve it. If I have BT Broadband, I guess that the USB driver will be on the disc supplied but without being able to run windows, how can I reinstall the driver or upload any updates?

Would I be able to do any of this in safe Mode?

Have you tried to boot the computer without the usb modem connected

  Ridleyrider 13:37 22 Mar 2006

No. I'll try that
