PC Clock prob

  Sparky3327 22:11 02 Dec 2003

Every time I start my pc the clock is completely wrong. It changes the time, day, month and the year. My e-mails look silly when they say I sent them in 2006.
I run Windows XP.
Any ideas?

How old is the 'puter? If not new, you probably need a new motherboard battery.

Go into bios setup when you start your computer and set the clock to the correct time and date also check that there is not a jumper on the motherboard near the battery that's set to clear cmos, if it is put it in the run position

Thanks for your help, everyone.
I can't get my head round this new look site, though!
