I tried to install a linux version in a disk partition of my hdd. An error occured during the instalation and it stopped. After my computer automatically restarted it only boots from cd/dvd. I go to boot menu to choose manualy to boot from my hdd and when I select it, it boots from cd again. I need help with this issue please!!

Take the CD out the drive and retry to boot.

If it got as far as installing GRUB (boot options) on the HDD then more work is needed.

I tried booting from hdd without a cd and I get the same message no disk inserted insert a bootable cd and press enter. Its like it ignores my command to boot from hdd and always boot from cd.

OK this means that linux has screwed up the master boot record on the HDD

What operating system was installed win 7 -8- 10?

do you have a windows cd? efectively you need to boot from a windows CD to command prompt and run

bootrec /fixmbr

bootrec /fixboot

If your lucky try tapping F8 as you power on you may then get to the advanced tools menu to do the above. if not then a windows DVD or rescue disk is required.
