Password Recovery Disc

  Rosalie86 13:33 01 Feb 2011

I created a password recovery disk 'ISO file' I think it was, but when I come to boot from it as it says.. It runs from the disc then I get the black screen in BIOS with the last word being (A:/)

It looks like it's waiting for a command..

Any ideas please..

When I looked on utube for a demo of how to use the disc.. it did none of this..

I cannot comment on that file because I have never used it, but it looks as if it is waiting for a Floppy drive (or possibly a Thumb drive), and it wants you to insert the security code to activate it.

If you can access that computer, try downloading SIW.exe to a Thumb Drive.Run from drive.

On the top line look for Software, scroll down to secrets, and with a bit of luck your passwords will be shown.

The .iso file needs to be burnt to a cd so the pc can boot from it, not simply copied,- if you have done this try again and set the burn speed as slow as possible to avoid errors in the burn process.
