Partitioning hard drive

How do I go about partitioning my hard drive???

  mad2477 19:23 01 Apr 2003

firstly think why? people have tried, and faild to convince me to do it, but if you have you mind set, then you need a partitioning program. e.g Partition magic, although i'm not too sure how to do it. good luck.

Use Partition Magic as mad2477 says, but it's not free, you have to buy it or get an older version off a computer magazine cover disk. Or you could use Fdisk which is free with Windows, you need a bootdisk with the Format command on it. A Windows 98SE bootdisk will do the job, garhelen.

As MAJ stated you can use fdisk but you will loose all dat etc on your hard drive and have to reinstal os after you have partitioned.
Using Partition Magic means you can retain os etc.
