Partition the hard drive

  Spr 12:18 25 Apr 2010

I have Window 7,500gb HD 64bits is there anyway I can partition the hard drive; I would like to keep Family Tree files separate. I do not have any partition discs to carry this out.

Thank you

There is partition resizing / creation capability built into win7 if you right click on Computer and select Manage from the list, in the window that opens select Disk Management this will display the hard drives in graphics if you right click on the drive graphic you will get an option to shrink the existing partition size to create free space from which you can then create another partition (Space Permitting that is)

Cheers HC
