Paragon Boot Manager?

My 18 months old HP will not boot. I get the message 'Paragon Boot Manager, Trial version is expired, boot from A'.

It asks for startup floppy, which I don't have!

What operating system are you using?

Did HP provide a recovery disk?

Have you loaded Paragon software on your machine?

Yes(as it turns out!)

Just managed to crack the 'code'! Using arrow keys to highlight 'WinXP', got into system and ruthlessly uninstalled Paragon Partition Demo and all its Registry entries. I don't even remember downloading the blooming thing, it must have been something I was trying for my '95 machine.

A cautionary tale!

PS. Does XP have a startup floppy?

No start up floppy in XP.

But you do have the option to install the Recovery Console as a start up option. Full details can be found in your help files.

Thanks, didn't think there was. The Recovery Console and I are old friends :-)
