how can I reverse a colour negative into a positive colour photo using paint shop pro x

please help

go to Image/negative image then adjust the result in 'Adjust'

"colour negative", you mean that literally, i.e. a film negative, then you'll have to scan it in first, using a scanner, to create an image that is a picture of the actaul negative...

I have PSP7, I assume the procedure is the same in PSPX... you just open the image fiel you've just created and on the menu bar choose "Colours>Negative Image"

Have you investigated the options on your scanner? Mine automatically compensates when scanning a colour negative giving a normal colour image.

I assumed you had the negative already digitised here, as you were asking about doing the job is PSPX
IF this is not so then as suggested if you have access to a scanner then it will need scanning and your scanner may well have the reversal software built in.
