Paint Shop Pro 5 crash in XP

Dear All

My copy of Paint Shop Pro 5 seems to crash all the time when using the clone tool. I start working, carry out some of the task, but then the pointer freezes, parts of the image start to vanish, then the toolbars vanish. Eventually I have to use the Task Manager to close the program down.

The Task Manager doesn't seem to indicate that much is going on inside the PC while this happens.

I have an E-Machines 360 (yes I know - get a better PC) with a 1.4 GHz Celeron processor, 256 MB SDRAM, a 40 GB Hard Disk (31.7 GB free space), and it has an Intel 828210E on board graphics controller.

The PC is installed with Windows XP Home Edition SP1, and with Works 200 v5.0. The version of Pain Shop Pro is v5.00, and I am running it with the compatibility wizard set to Windows 98/ME.

Anybody got any ideas ?. Thanks for any advice.
