page cannot be displayed

my friend is having bother getting internet explorer to work he is getting connected to the internet but when he clicks on explorer he gets page cannot be displayed he has tick usual things in tools and he gets a warning trangle saying rundll cannot be found just wondering if anyone can help.

Try..start--search--more advanced options--click boxes:- "search systen folders"--"search subfoldres"--"search hidden files and folders". Type IE.inf (upper case for IE) in "all or part of the file name" box. Make sure searching the right hard drive ie c:\. Click "search".

Once you have ie in the right pane then right click ie and click install in the dropdown menue. Once installed then reboot.

my mate took his computer to the computer shop got a full reinstall £30 if his windows disk was not genuine it would have cost him £110
