Packard Bell Pc will not boot

Hi ,

I am trying to fix a 5 year old Pc which will not boot.

When switched on, the power supply fan is working, also the cpu fan. There are no beeps, and the harddrive light in not flashing.

The harddrive is working.I installed it into another Packard Bell Pc.When fitted back into the original Pc,nothing.

I cant eject the dvd rom and cdrw drawers. All these drives are connected.Should the drives eject even if the Pc wont boot.

I hope the info supplied can assist.

Packard Bell PSUs are notoriously unreliable.

However if fans run and CD s work then maybe ok

Unplug CDs and try a CD power cable in the HDD maybe only one rail of PSU dead.
