overclocking a dated graphics card

i have a very slow gefofce4 mx420 and being as im buying a ti4200 in a few weeks so am interested in clocking my card to give me some performance gain til then anyone know how far i can push it?

Just keep pushing it up in increments, concentrate on the memory clock - if you start experiencing artifacts then youv'e hit your limit, so back it down 5% and leave it.

If you do go to far and the system crashes, don't worry cos' when you re-boot, your system shoud re-apply the default clock settings.
