Outpost firewall - is there still a free download?

I tried to put a friend on Outpost (because he didn't have a firewall) but I can't see a download which is free. It appears you have to pay for Outpost. Is that true or not?

Thank you for that. So old though isn't it, 20th June 2000.

Isn't there another up-to-date version or should I try ZoneAlarm?

I would suggest he goes for sygate personal free - it seems to me to be less intrusive than is ZA.

Thanks guys. I took Outpost because that is what the FE recommended. Looks like the time has come to try something else.

I have now taken off my Outpost and have installed Sygate Personal Firewall. I will give it a few weeks and if it looks good I will install it on my friends computer.

pj123 - am in the same boat (with Outpost) please post back once you've had sygate firewall running for a week or two.
