Outlook is telling me to access webmail

  Clapton is God 09:17 13 Jan 2018

In the last couple of weeks when I open Outlook on my PC, e-mails don’t automatically download and I get a pop-up message from the Gmail account saying that I need to access webmail.

I use a separate laptop to regularly access Gmail via webmail when I’m away from the PC.

After I get this message I shut down Outlook on the PC and access Gmail webmail from the PC.

I then log out of webmail, re-open Outlook on the PC and my messages happily download to the PC.

My other e-mail accounts (TalkTalk) are OK.

I haven’t (knowingly) made any recent changes to my Outlook or webmail accounts. Do any members know why this annoying behaviour has suddenly started?
