Outlook outbox item stuck

  John-234147 10:21 03 Jan 2005

Please help. I recently tried to send an e-mail with an attachment 22Mb in size and it is now stuck in my Outlook outbox. It originally started to send but timed out on the server connection (NTL Broadband). Every time I now try to delete I get a message ' Outlook has already begun transmitting this message' or open a similar 'Cant open this itam. ......'. I am running XP and Outlook 2003. Any ideas of how to remove?

Have you tried disconnecting from the internet before you try to delete the message?

Try going through on your webmail on NTL and delete the email from there click here, it sounds like the file size is too big for your inbox.

I've tried to find out what inbox size NTL offer, but they seem a bit coy in telling. The general consensus is about 10MB, so that 20MB for exceeds what you've got available.

Working offline did it. Many thanks to all contributors.
