Outlook Express removed access to attachments

I have been running OE6 satisfactorily under Windows 98SE since OE6 appeared. Suddenly I find all the attachments to e-mails in my Inbox and Sent folders are greyed out. I received some new e-mails with jpegs attached today - these are viewable below the text of the e-mail but when I click on the paperclip all info is greyed out and I cannot save to file. Receiving these e-mails re-instated the pictures below the text in previous e-mails but they are still greyed out when I try to view or save them.
I did earlier save one e-mail to file but this now has a header message reading:
Outlook Express removed access to the following unsafe attachment in your mail: image 1....etc.
Any suggestionsa how I might regain access to these jpgs?

Tools/Options, Security tab.

Take the tick out of the box that blocks attachments.

Thanks VoG, it works - but I wonder why it has suddenly started taking exception to these after all this time?
