Outlook Express probs

After some activity with programs and "tidying up" my .tmp
files I discovered that my Outlook Express now puts up a
message "msimn has caused an error in msoe.dll".

Tried reloading Millennium (this was OK) and ie6 with Outlook Express 6 from both a disk and the update site but both these failed soon after IE part has installed and the oe files start going in. It then tries to continue setup but fails with a message that it cant get the required
files from the internet site, yet IE6 works fine.

Outlook 2000 works fine but of course my current email folders are not accessible for import as it requires OE5/6 to start.

I have many recently updated .dbx files in a seperate folder as a back up. I have been left with OE V5.5 and my V6 has disappeared if only I could either import or get OE to work!

Any ideas out there??

Thanks in advance for any ideas or solutions.

Click Start, Find

type folders.dbx.

Right-click the Folders.dbx file, and then click Rename.

Name it folders.old, and then click OK.

Start Outlook Express. This creates a new Folders.dbx file automatically.
