outlook express problem

I have set up outlook express on a new computer.
However when I try to send/receive I am being asked for a user name and password. When I enter my usual details I get an error message and the O E will not authorise.
This did not happen with my old computer

in OE goto you mail account & on the servers tab check to see if "my server requires authentication" has a tick beside it, if not put a tick in & see if that works

sorry mad that didn't work. Funny thing is I received an e-mail saying that a new response had been received. So I somehow can receive!!!!

Who is your ISP?

Go to their website and they should have full instructions for setting up POP and SMTP for OE

Thanks everyone. I had two accounts registered one for ntlworld and one for SKY. O E kept trying to authorise the ntlworld account first.I have deleted the ntl account and everything works OK now with just the sky account. Maybe ntl has fallen out with me as I am now with SKY broadband !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
