Outlook express problem

I am running a new machine using WinXP home edition.
The problem I have is that I cannot get Outlook Express to send or receive mail.Although I have used identical settings from my other machine (which still works fine).
My new machine came pre installed with McAfee which I disabled to see if there was anything amiss there..........no luck.
I have had various error messages ranging from protocol errors to server response 550.

See below:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was '*********@*****.***'. Subject 'try again', Account: 'pop.iolfree.ie ', Server: 'mail.iolfree.ie', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 relay not permitted', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

It is very frustrating since I know that the other machine works fine.

Any help very much appreciated.

Sounds as if you are trying send an e-mail to an address that either doesn't exist or you are not typing the correct e-mail address. Try sending an e-mail to yourself and see if (a) you can send it and (b) if you can receive it.
