Outlook Express 'from' field

Outlook Express 6.00 2800.1123 This started about a week ago:
When I do a create mail or a reply to a Email a new field has appeared above the 'to' field where the recipient's email address goes.
This field automatically fills with '(pop.wanadoo.co.uk)'. There is one drop down alternative to this which is my Email address.
If I send the Email without changing this field I get 'the message could not be sent, no sender was specified. Please check your news account configuration'. If I change it to my Email address the Email sends OK.
This is just an annoyance but I cannot see how to change the default in this 'from' field?

Click Tools| Accounts| <account name> Properties and delete then re-type the user name and email address, even if they appear correct. If the problem persists, remove the account, close and re-open OE, then create the account again.
