Ive been trying to download a couple of videos from a newsgroup. I can read the message but the video wont play. I get a load of programming jargon. Any ideas??

Not without the "programming jargon".

What does it say? We cn't diagnose unless we know the error message!!!!!!!!!

  Bazz2000 13:57 05 Oct 2003

sorry. Its not an error message, and it looks like an entire program. Here is a bit of it:

I can send you the lot if you like. And if you understand it I will bow down to you sir!!

When the "programming jargon" (its not) appears what does it open in? Notepad, Windows Media Player, etc etc??

  Bazz2000 14:02 05 Oct 2003

It just appears in outlook. In the bottom window as if it was an e-mail???

  Jester2K II 14:04 05 Oct 2003

What is the video name and extension - ie filename.ext?

Its a picture file and not a video.

Save the file somwhere on your hard drive.

make sure its called

Now try and open it.

If it's from a newsgroup make sure you scan it for virus's before trying to open it.

  Bazz2000 14:11 05 Oct 2003

Hang on Il try it

  Bazz2000 14:15 05 Oct 2003

For some reason I can only save it either as a news file text file or unicode file whatever that is. Even when its renamed it still opens in outlook express
