Outlook 2000 Export Address Book and Folders

  Steady Eddie 12:26 02 Feb 2003

I am running Outlook 2000 and Win 98. I want to upgrade to XP but will need to do a format and fresh install of Win98 and XP.

I want to transfer my Outlook Contacts (address book) My Calender and the contents of my in box and sent items.

My Wife also has her own Idenity on the PC with her own settings for Outlook 2000. I wish to transfer her folders address book etc.

Unfortunatly when address book is selected the Import and export buttons are greyed out. I have tried to repair outlook 2000 from the CD, that hasent worked. I have tried to install from the CD importers and exporters, that hasent worked either.

Can anyone help ?

Try this

On the File menu, click Export , and then click Address Book .
Click Text File (Comma Separated Values) , and then click Export .
Click Browse .
Locate the Mail Backup folder that you created.
In the File Name box, type address book backup , and then click Save .
Click Next .
Click to select the check boxes for the fields that you want to export, and then click Finish .
Click OK and then click Close .
