Outdated harddrive

  loquito 17:19 07 Oct 2004

My PC has two Harddrives. One is dead and the other is still in operation. I afraid it will die soon as well. Presently, the PC has an IBM DJNA-372200 22.0GB (Deskstar 22GXP) IDE, Ultra-ATA/66, 3.5”, 7200 RPM working.

Because the technology has advanced very fast, it appears nobody in the UK is prepared to sell me a similar harddrive. Will, please somebody advise me what (harddrive make and specifications) to order in order that the new harddrive will work properly with my system. My system has a Pentium3, the motherboard does not work with Pentium4. I am able to buy an enhanced harddrive (e.g. 40GB) provided that it will work smoothly with my system

Help appreciated.

Any major make and model will work as long as it is an ATA (IDE) drive.
