open office removed spellcheck from O/Express

  [DELETED] 11:52 17 Apr 2006

I downloaded the open office programme and I find it has changed the layout of my options in outlook express which no longer gives any options for spell checking although the icon is still available. does anyone know how to get back to the default tools (or whatever) for outlook express.

if you have the xp disc i would suggest running sfc /scannow and it should put back the missing files?

can you elaborate please on the sfc/scannow. I don't see it on the "what do you want to do" options on the disc

You need to have Microsoft Word installed to use the spell checker in Outlook Express. You may need to reinstall Word.
