Onboard graphics ok for Photoshop?

  [DELETED] 20:14 02 Mar 2006

I am thinking of building a PC for my daughter so she can learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop CS.My previous builds/upgrades have usually been done because myself or my son have wanted to play the latest games in all their detail so have had high-end graphics cards installed. To save cash I wonder if there are any motherboards with suitable onboard graphic chips.Anyone help please?

If you can dedicate 128mb on board graphics to it, there should be no problem.

But if you get a PC with an AGP slot, you can get a perfectly adequate card for about £30 or so.

Agree with Diodorus Siculus it would cost so little to put a reasonable graphics card in.
